Adobe Illustrator or CoreDraw thumbnail views
Adobe Illustrator or CoreDraw thumbnail views
Is there support for .cdr or .ai files? I downloaded the trail and really like the program but it won't do me any good if I can't see these file types. I added them in the file extensions but they still don't show.

Re: Adobe Illustrator or CoreDraw thumbnail views
I can see AI previews when they have an embedded thumbnail. CDR does not work at all here (but I don't have CorelDraw installed). There might be CODECS for both, don't know.

Re: Adobe Illustrator or CoreDraw thumbnail views
Interesting question, since I use Illustrator all the time.
Even after adding .ai and .eps to the preview image types, Illustrator previews/thumbnails do not work for me and display "Bad Image" for the thumbnail (for .ai, .eps) and either "Cannot decode" (.ai) or the raw postscript text for .eps. I tried AI versions 8, CS2 and CS5 and a bunch of various settings in Adobe's save options.
PNGs in the same folder are showing previews and thumbnails correctly. I have been using XnView to view these in the past and it correctly shows thumbs for all of the above.
Super-fast thumbnails: OFF
Enable shell thumbnails: OFF
Cache thumbnails: OFF (just while testing)
So... I'm not sure what else to check?
If (when?) this is working, it would be nice to see the previews as the thumbnails. Is there already an option for that?

Argh, just checked and it turns out you are right: All "AI" files that show a preview (and thumbnail) here are in fact under-cover PDF files with an AI extension (I think illustrator creates these under certain settings). So, AI and CDR are NOT supported.

Re: Adobe Illustrator or CoreDraw thumbnail views
Cool! I hoped that there are codecs for this.
