Drag/drop out of xy to skype file transfer doesn't work

Drag a file from xy v12.10 to skype v6.2.59.106 chat window and the file doesn't get 'dropped'. The same action works from windows file explorer.
I am using win 7 enterprise.

Appears to be the Skype version. I dragged & dropped from XY all the time until it quit working when I updated Skype to 6.3.0.105 just a week or so ago. Continues to work w/all other apps I've had occasion to drag&drop to.

I tried reverting to various XY versions between 11.90 and 12.30 but made no difference. It DOES work again after downgrading to Skype 5 from http://www.oldversion.com/windows/skype/. Flipped back & forth between versions a couple of times to confirm this is what breaks & fixes it, at least on my box (Vista Home Prem SP2). It did work on Skype 6.1.0.129 that I had previously, but I couldn't find any prior version between 6.3 and 5 online.

In Skype, you can disable automatic updating in tools>options>advanced>automatic updates.

Trying the latest skype 6.3.59.105 with latest xy 12.30.0200 and still doesn't work
However windows explorer , cubic explorer and a43 explrer all work drag/drop with the same skype version...
Maybe try xy v10 or low 11's ?

So something is not friendly between xy and skype

As I noted above, the problem was not caused by any change in XY and can't be fixed by downgrading to older versions, but was caused by something different in the latest versions of Skype 6. Skype 6 does appear to work OK with XY using the "SSE" version of Skype, https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12252, but not with 6.3.

The same problem with the skype (W8 64, as Administrator). Directory Opus works fine with skype.

Given all the benefits that the LT license has and that it's not available otherwise, I'd suggest you do it anyway because I suspect that when you look at the entire FM picture, XY still has enough now to make it worthwhile.

??? Don't understand how that's relevant to dragging OUT of XY and dropping onto Skype. Where do I put the code to test it?
