Context menu, select delete. Nothing happens.
View | Refresh List. Item disappears from the list.

Can't get any simpler than that!!

Select another item, delete, and the item does disappear.

O.S. is XP.
Select an item where?
In the list, in detail view, where else could I select?

I have full-row select enabled, if that's anything to do with it, but I could produce the problem previously on a cold start.
Show Tree is checked, but Show Navigation Panel in not checked.
Two tabs, the other is the Temp folder.
Only one pane.
Info Panel is enabled.

I haven't checked in list view, thumbnail or anything else since I don't use those views.

I use the arrow keys (or type-ahead find) to locate an item, then the context menu key. I would use the delete key but we've already exhausted that discussion.

Checked with 9.60.0103 and still there (I have closed the Info Panel since it takes too long to display some files). The list is not refreshed when the file is deleted but, sometimes when another file is selected. Delete a file, list is not refreshed. Scroll down the list, the file is still displayed. Scroll back up the list to above the deleted (but still visible file) and the list is then refreshed.

The whole thing seems totally unreliable, there is no way I would trust the Recycle Bin display in the present situation.

Strange. There really was an issue before 9.60.0103 which now has been fixed. I cannot find any problems anymore under Win7/64. :?

it wasn't a problem back when i was using 9.30. but then it started happening since i upgraded to 9.50.0100. so somewhere in between those versions, something must have changed in xyplorer and now there is this bug...

Well, It's absolutely solid and on a cold start, so nothing to do with ini settings or anything else.

Just installed XY 9.60.0103 (from the beta on a USB stick) on an artists laptop in the studio - XY has never been on the machine before. I didn't even close and re-start XY so no configuration file has even been saved.

Selected a folder in the list, open the context menu, delete, the folder is still displayed in the list.

Select another folder, the original folder is still displayed. Select the original folder and it disappears, i.e. the list is refreshed.

That must be 5 or 6 different machines I've tried it on, and the results are consistent.

I don't know what else to say, other than that there is definitely a refresh problem.

I'm away for a few days, so perhaps when I'm back you may have gripped it.

Is it only me or did you just drop the tiny little information that you are talking about folders!?

PS: How many items are in that folder? Just to make clear: You are deleting a folder with contents to the recycle bin? (NOT from the recycle bin)

Well, I could indeed repro a missing refresh when deleting a filled folder to the RB in XP, but only 2 times. Now I could not repro it about 50 times in a row. I told you the Windows notification system is notorious crap.

Yes, x64 win7. But it is unlikely that this kind of issue affects only x64. On the other hand I have no other explanation at the moment...
