There has always been the remainder of a full row height at the bottom of the list. Since version 1.0. :)

Or what do you mean?

Only in Vista/Win7. Your shots look like XP.

I don't see any problem in Win 7 Pro 64-bit, at least with the Century font that I use:

Me neither. Everything looks normal. I don't even understand the description of the problem.

yes, it has to be trigger with holding CTRL+Shift and then a mouse wheel roll

its auto size alright but once you've space out in odds/even you'll get some open space in list view, it seems to detect the bottom of the screen but it leaves a line or space... it just doesn't look right

its maybe by design :)

Yes, it's by design and nothing changed here in the last 10 years. It's like this in all lists you find in any Windows version where the current top item aligns with the top of the view port. It's math. Nothing can change it. (I just saw the Win7 Explorer gives up on the top alignment and therefore gets rid of the space below, but at a high cost: the top item is cut and has no head.)

Thanks a lot for the error 10 fix.
! List: (Win7/64) Inline-rename good get caught in eternal loop when
file to be renamed was in use. Fixed.
This one is not completely fixed, however. Using v9.11 on win7/x64, when trying to rename (F2) a file currently in use, the "File in Use" dialog is indeed dismissed after clicking OK, but the "rename squire" (the rectangular box wherein you type the new name) stays, still showing the new name, though the cursor prompt (the flashing bar) is gone. (Image attached below.)

Trying to click anywhere in the same pane (another file, e.g.) and the "File in Use" dialog pops up again. Clicking another tab and back would clear it, with the file reverted back to its old name.

Confirmed for win7/64 (works well in XP), but I currently don't manage to fix this.

Workaround: Simply click into the inline edit box to get focus and cursor back.

In the next version there will be a check before calling the shell rename. This should catch most of these cases.

Thanks for all the hard work on the Error 10 fix Don, it's really appreciated. It certainly was a bit of a bugger!

Still, at least it made you upgrade to Win7 (it really is a lot better than xp...) Do you like the WIN+UP/RIGHT/DOWN/LEFT window management shortcuts they've introduced? I find it a god send and always really miss it when I have to use Vista at work...
Used to update to the latest beta every day. Now I have children instead…
