No feedback on Copy Status to Clipboard

Post by Evolve »

Status Bar | Ctrl+Right-click | Copy Status to Clipboard
Status Bar does not give a feedback that the info has been copied.

It could also be misleading:
1) copy the current path: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player
2) copy some Status Bar info: 4 selected: 110,15 KB 4 folders [18 files, 0 folders]

Status Bar is still showing this message:
copied to clipboard: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player

PS More realistic example: wanted to copy bar1 but clicked on bar2 instead.

There is a minor issue with copying Bar3 message itself multiple times in a row:

copied to clipboard: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player
copied to clipboard: copied to clipboard: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player
copied to clipboard: copied to clipboard: copied to clipboard: ...
-----------
BTW, there is only 2 actions for CEA Clicking on Status Bar:
Copy (Left Click for me) and Toggle Info Panel (Double Click here)
On my Middle-Click it runs this script: statusbartemplate(, 1)
It basically drops this "copied: .." message and refreshes the info on current/selected items.
I think it's a good candidate for the Action List.
PS: This "Refresh" action could be also added into Ctrl+Right-Click Menu for Status Bar.

1. it is what it is; recursion is real

2. Maybe, but it does not work everywhere; not in search results e.g.
