Probably just an internet hiccup. That dot is part of the sentence.

I don't think so.
It is happening from the first time I used XYplorer (less than a month ago) until even now.

If it makes a difference, I use the "Portable" version in Windows7SP1x64.
...and its the second weird thing than no other experience... :?

Looks like a firewall on your system blocks XYplorer's access

Should I try to open it manually or there is a way for XYplorer to do it automatically?

On a side note, my own apps can check for new version without been blocked, although I never created a specific exception..
How come the XYplorer is treated this way?

If you don't have changed any Windows firewall or network settings there will never be a problem for the update check.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)
Portable XYplorer (actual version, including betas)
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.2, Listary Pro 6.3.0.69

...and how exactly did you arrived in this brilliant conclusion?
I could also add that, if I do not turn on the PC, no problem will be manifested.. :P

By many years of personal experience in Windows outsourcing with many users.
There are always some users complaining that their PC does bad things but they didn't change anything.
Most of the time with simple functions which at the same time run successfully on tausends of other machines
like the check for updates in XY.

There are always some users that kill their wife too.. :titter:
What I was asking is, how did you arrive to the conclusion that I'm one of them.
Do you have any clues, or you just saying that I botch my configuration based on nothing?.. :?:

Now that my fever is a little more manageable, here is some more info for the developers:
Turning the Firewall off, did not fix the problem.
Using VMWare Workstation, I checked the same (portable) version, with different windows installations.
All images had Network adapter in Bridged mode and I was using the same router.
Win10 worked OK.
Win7SP1x86 Ultimate, Win7SP1x64 Ultimate and WinXPSP3 Professional did not work.
