Custom column broken since v22.70

Post by satisfyship »

Hi,

I have a custom column to calculate and display the CRC-32 checksum of a file by clicking the small green icon. It looks like this:

Problem: after updating to 22.70, clicking the green icon no longer calculates the checksum, it just does nothing. It's the same in v22.70.0100 and v22.70.0101 BETA. When rolling back to v22.60.0200 it works again. I didn't change any other settings.

Thanks.

I tested your column with my current instance and also with a fresh instance: works fine here. :|

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Did you add the column via right-clicking the column bar -> "Add column" -> "Right-click here..." -> "Select custom column..."? Because doing it this way also makes the custom column work as intended for me.
However, the way I used to do it and what worked for me before updating to v22.70 was right-clicking the column bar and selecting the entry from the list.

At least for me it seems that "click to trigger" columns added this way generally don't work since v22.70. I also tested this with a fresh instance.
Here's another example: I have the factory default "dimensions" custom column, the only thing I changed was setting the trigger from "browse" to "click".

The left dimensions column (aka "Custom 1: Dimensions") was added by selecting it from the column bar drop-down menu. Clicking the green icon does not trigger the display of the dimensions.
The right dimensions column (aka "User-Defined: Dimensions") was added via right-clicking the column bar -> "Add column" -> "Right-click here..." -> "Select custom column..." -> "Dimensions, Special Property (png;gif;bmp;ico;cur;{:Photo})". In this case clicking the green icon does trigger the display of the dimensions as intended.

Cheers.
