Revisiting [fixed] drag and drop files from other software broken ?

Post by Kucera »

Hi, did anyone manage to get this actually fixed, or am I the only one who still suffers from being unable to drag into xyplorer?
Seems like my last post, in \September,
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22564&p=190962&hili ... in#p190962 got no replies any more. Is it only me, and therefore hopeless?

Usually that's a rights problem. Do not run XY as administrator to drag into it. That's a Windows restriction.

Hello, thanks, and apologies - I labored under, and reported here my mistaken belief of running XY un-elevated, as neither the main program properties or its shortcuts showed it as having administrative rights. Well, it turns out that I was starting XY from a batch file which itself was run from an elevated prompt (!) !
TaskManager then revealed that yes, it was actually running with admin rights.
Killing the process and then starting "normally" from the XY program icon, all's well now.
Thanks again
Emil
