Triggering main menus with the keyboard, some work with Alt+f (in case of File, e.g.) pressed together.
Others only work by (1) pressing Alt, (2) releasing Alt, and (3) then pressing o (in case of Favorites, e.g.) after having released Alt.
It would be good if all menus would work like the File menu, but at least, they should all work the same.
EDIT:
Hold the horse. In a fresh; it works ok. Investigation will continue.

Re: Main Menu and Alt works inconsistently
I guess you have the Find Files tab open? It all depends on which accelerator keys are currently available in the whole window.

Re: Main Menu and Alt works inconsistently
Ok, that's it.
I must say that is weird, at least. For me there cannot be an acceptable explanation for such a basic crucial functinalitly not working consistently.
But ofc that is just my stupid way of thinking.

Re: Main Menu and Alt works inconsistently
Ideally the interface has each accelerator only once, so the issue looks like a design mistake. But there are only 26 accelerators, and not each of them is present in each caption. So when you have many interface elements, it becomes an unsolvable problem.
