Crash Bug

Post by Tufail117 »

Just loaded the Program and this happens. Did delete all Configuration files and all and reloaded the program. Running Latest windows version Windows 10 19043.1288. If you need more details please let me know. I mostly use this for designing, have lot of thumbnails and files of photoshop and Affinity photo and illustrator.

That's extremely weird. Probably caused by a Windows hiccup. A reboot should fix it.

Dear Admin, I have already Restarted, Removed the config and tried again and the bug is still presistent. The thing i have noted on the occurance of this bug is whenever i boot my pc for the first time for the day and load the program it occurs, sometimes more than once and sometimes just once, but after it has crashed and be done with and i load the program again it works fine throughout the day, has been going on since this major version on my PC, if you need more details or dump file please specify the needed and i shall have them here.

If the virgin 22.40.0200 did that by itself, it should happen to many more users, and we would have heard about it here in the forum. There must be something weird going on in your system. Are you using any 3rd-party skins or themes or so?

Nope Not really, Nothing is customized in Xyplorer and or in windows. If you would like a dump file or crash reports here is some you can look into. Hope this helps. And BTW its still crashing like before. Is there anything i can send so that you can look into.

When you say "crash" you apparently don't mean that the app goes down, right? You just mean that it shows an error message.

I cannot reproduce that error message with your setup (let alone a crash). But you still get it? Without "virgin" in the error message, of course, since running with a setup is not virgin anymore.

Question: Does it crash (= completely disappear)? Or does it just show an error message?

You say the error you reported in viewtopic.php?p=192903#p192903 came right at startup of a virgin configuration? And yes, it says "virgin" in the error message. But it also says "Font: Segoe UI 12". However, virgin configurations always start with Segoe UI 9. That's confusing.
