[Solved] Upgraded instance - Missing custom columns in context menu

Post by highend »

Current beta... But this happened already a few versions ago

I've copied over the full .ini section "[CustomColumns]" from a fresh instance into my (full configured) existing instance.
Ofc: While it was not running and replacing the existing section

Configuration after restarting XY:

But when I right click on the column header I don't see those custom columns in there, instead I get this:

Any ideas?

Probably because I recently changed the internal default order of the columns. What you did there is an evil hack. Not supported. :)

FYI, tried to reproduce but couldn't. No idea what is causing it on your end.

How else should this be done?

Doesn't work.

After resetting & saving setting + restart afterwards I'm getting the exact same screenshot from the last post...

What do you see when you click "Show Columns..."? There should be at least 40 columns, and at least 10 of them Custom Columns.

There were in the wrong order (e.g. all custom columns at the end), bringing them back into the correct one shows their correct position in the context menu now

The positions are stored in <xydata>\Panes\1|2\pane.ini
in the "Columns" value...

Thanks!
