Installer package .0043 downloads as .0042.

Very strange issue! I can confirm it here but probably only because I'm using the Edge browser. Look at this shot of my download folder (I renamed the packages to show how I downloaded them): I downloaded the .0043 package with various browsers (and FTP), and all downloaded the correct one (4,687,664 bytes), whereas Edge downloaded the previous one (4,687,450 bytes) which does not exist anymore on the server! Tried it many times, did restart Edge of course. Nothing helped.

OK, I fixed it (for me, not for you!) like this: But this should not be necessary. Probably Edge got confused because I rapidly update downloads with the same name.

I don't cache anything in any of my browsers so the cache has nothing to do with it.

I downloaded XY when I read RalphM's post. I didn't install it until now when I read your response. I don't install anyway, simply extract the files from the installer version and copy them.


You're making too many mistakes now. Take a rest before you do some major damage to every user (like you did to me some years ago, which cost me tens of thousands of pounds).

I've downloaded it again a few minutes ago and it's the correct version - perhaps your server is not updating correctly.

My browser is FF 89.0.2 and up until just now the download link of .0043 always downloaded as .0042.
With the list sorted by modified you can easily tell if the extracted install.exe sorts not below the latest zip you downloaded.

Now sorted for me as well and .0043 downloaded and installed, thanls.

It might be time to append the beta-version stamp to each download package. Got to work around that caching. Then we also would have an "Official XYplorer Archive"...

Well, it was never a problem for me before and .0044 miraculously worked again as well.
So not sure how urgent you need to do something here

I always download the portable archive with Firefox and there never was a caching problem.
I like the time stamp in the archive name, so please stay with it.
