Locked tab can be mis-located

Post by Malarki »

This is with XY 20.90.0804 "fresh;"; Win 10 x64.

In the list pane I Ctrl-L "lock" a tab e.g. "C:\temp". Then right-click on the upper left corner of the tab - this gives the options of "This PC" and some recent folders. If I select "This PC" the tab will sometimes switch to "This PC", in other words it navigates away from the originally locked folder and carries the lock state over to "This PC".

Clicking like this once will sometimes cause it. Clicking again always causes it. And yes I know that there's almost no chance of that in real use, but I was surprised enough the first time to experiment more. Probably a tiny bug since I don't think it's intended.

Wouldn't believe it but you are right! If the tab is in the background its location is overwritten that way.

Looks like a bug to me, will fix.

OK, the phenomenon is a consequence of this: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16135

The question now is: What would be a better behavior? I'm not sure what I would expect to happen when injecting a location into a backgrounded locked tab via right-click menu...

I decided: A new tab with the desired location will be opened and selected.
