Doubleclick opened files do not stack in Recently open files

Post by kr00bi »

XYplorer 20.80 Windows 10
Doubleclick default action for opening files in associated apps does not add it to Recently open files.

I have apps pinned to task bar (for example Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, Excel, Power Point...)
Current "Recent open files" is:
Recent open files

If I open e.g. PDF file in XYplorer by doubleclick (which has default action "Open with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC") then that document doesn't show in Recent open files in Right Mouse Button click on the app icon in task bar. It doesn't show in the list when RMB click on app icon in Start menu too.

The same problem when I RMB on the file in XYplorer and use "Open".

If I use RMB on the file and choose "Open with" and select "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" then that document IS added to the Recent open files list.

Is it a bug?

Welcome to the club!

Please set this tweak and let me know if it helps:

Code: Select all

AddToRecentDocs=1
How to tweak: https://www.xyplorer.com/faq-topic.php?id=tweak

Hi Don,

no, it not helped. The behaviour is exactly the same.
I double checked that AddToRecentDocs=1 stayed set also after closing/restarting XYplorer.

OK, the next beta should fix it.
