Loss of focus when manually renaming files (gray filename)

Post by vasya »

[XYplorer 20.80.0100]
Confirmed in the Win7, Win10 1607, Win10 1803
View-Details
Loss of focus when manually renaming files. And you cannot rename the file, the button F2 does not work, filename is gray (not blue) (while XYplorer window is active)

Temp fix - restart XYplorer or click to any Info Panel or Tree or Second Pane and click back to the list --- blue focus will be restored

Reproduce:
1. Create 15-20 new txt files
2. Open Notepad, Paste this into the Notepad:
100100100
101101101
102102102
103103103
104104104
105105105
106106106
107107107
108108108
109109109
110110110
111111111
112112112
113113113
114114114
115115115
116116116
117117117
118118118
119119119
120120120
121121121
122122122
123123123
124124124
125125125
126126126
127127127
128128128
129129129
130130130
131131131
132132132
133133133
134134134
135135135
136136136
137137137
138138138
139139139
140140140
3. Rename files with new names from Notepad via keyboard only (without mouse)
(Select text, Ctrl+C, Alt+Tab, F2, Ctrl+V, Alt+Tab, Arrow Down, Home, Shift+End, Alt+Tab, Arrow Down, F2, Ctrl+V)
After ~10-30 renames you will get loss of focus and gray filename in the XYplorer while XYplorer window is active

Gif 88 sec, after 120120120.jpg files are gray

Well, since XY is a simple deterministic little app random patterns like this are usually caused by Windows. There is nothing I could fix here.

BTW, what you are doing in your example can be done much faster using this:
File | Rename Special | Edit Item Names...
