Auto Refresh Bug
Auto Refresh Bug
I know there was a post made in 2018 however i want to purchase the program after my trial and cant get over having to press F5 all of the time to see the changes that were just made in that directory. Its extremely annoying and I hope to miss this bug very soon!!
Re: Auto Refresh Bug
Hi and welcome,
Can you post a link to that bug report and/or describe your problem?

Re: Auto Refresh Bug
Sure, the old post i referenced can be found here: viewtopic.php?t=19131
To go into more detail about the bug, when something changes in the working directory such as a file/folder being moved or deleted, the directory view is not updated automatically unless F5 is pressed or you manually refresh using the button in the view tab. In the view tab there are refresh settings, one being "suspend auto refresh" this setting often gets "sticky" and fails to toggle even after a restart.
i hope that made sense, I hope that an update can be made in the future to fix this. If the program can export its own bug report i would be happy to submit the report.

Re: Auto Refresh Bug
I'm guessing you're using the latest stable version (20.40)?
Do you see the same problem with a fresh config?

It is currently making me a liar because it is now working fine, if it happens again i will report back here after trying a fresh config.

Re: Auto Refresh Bug
In the pane that is active what path are you in at the time? because in certain locations, eg. "This PC", it is correct that you can't toggle its state.
Re: Auto Refresh Bug
Thats a good thought however i am working in a music folder thats on a network drive.
Re: Auto Refresh Bug
Do you have this enabled then if you are working on a network drive?
Configuration | General | Refresh, Icons, History | Auto-Refresh | Include network locations
