XYPlorer crashes when docking laptop with multiple external displays

If I have XYPlorer open before I undock, then re-dock it usually crashes. I have an HP Specter X360 with an HP port replicator connected via USB-C. There are 2 external displays connected to the replicator/dock as well as power, network and multiple USB devices including flash drives in a USB bus.

You say "usually". It does not happen each time?

I have not performed definitive tests to prove that, but it has been my experience several times. No problems when unlocking Windows, or coming out of sleep while connected to the dock.

Lacking that hardware this will be hard to fix.

You say *multiple* external displays. So it does not happen with only one display?

After many months of testing I finally narrowed down the issue. This only happens with multiple monitors. If I launch XYPlorer on my main screen, its icon is in the taskbar on that screen - as expected. I then move the XYPlorer window to another screen (I usually use the keyboard Win+Shift+Right/Left). XYPlorer moves and functions fine, but the task bar icon remains on the launch display, whereas most Windows apps will move the icon to the task bar on the new display. I then will undock for a meeting or something and when I return XYPlorer would crash.

However! If I close and re-open XYPlorer after moving XYPlorer to a different dispaly, but before undocking the icon is on the correct taskbar and it does not crash.

Okay. XYplorer will soon migrate to 64-bit and things like the ones you describe will most likely self-fix or at least change. We'll have to look at it again in the 64-bit version.
