[SOLVED] Not receiving the update since v19.50.0117

Hi Don, using this script (in a menu) update 1 + 16 + 128; the update is not functioning at least not as before (i.e., XYplorer remains on the previous beta). I tried to get beta v19.50.0118 from v19.50.0117 and it wouldn't happen. I've been using the same script line since you came up with SC update, but now with beta v19.50.0117, the update doesn't happen. XY closes and reopens with the same beta as before. The same thing happened going from v19.50.0116 to v19.50.0117, but I thought in that case it may have been due to the silent change of v19.50.0117. To actually update to v19.50.0117 I had to use the Help menu help option to update with the control key down. I also tried update 1 + 16 + 32; with no success. I then tried to use update 1 + 16; with no success. In this last case, XY closed ,and downloaded the new beta. but never restarted and when I do manually restart, it's at the old beta still v19.50.0117. Any idea what's going on with that?
Note: I haven't updated as before using the menu instead of the script in case you want me to test something (I'm still on v19.50.0117).

I have the same issue (didn't saw your post before reporting it in the linked thread).

What was the 16 flag doing before exactly? Was it different from Ctrl+Click on the "Check for Updates" menu?

For me anyway prior to v19.50.0117, update 1 + 16 + 128; gave me the the same 2 message boxes you mentioned in that thread...so really not silent as you also mentioned (I was aware of that thread). I meant to note in my original post that I have always run the Xyplorer exec file as Administrator (i.e., Run as Administrator is checked off in Properties).

Well, when I just used the menu update with control click, the proper update happened, with one message box and the extraction box as well.

When I was using SC update 1 + 16 + 128; since v19.50.0117, the process was totally silent but the update didn't happen.

This is probably be meaningless info since you said, "you can only test it when upgrading *from* this new version". When I upgraded, using update 1 + 16 + 128; to version v19.50.0119 from .0118, I didn't get any message boxes, XY closed but did not restart. XY was at the new beta v19.50.0119 upon restart however.

Yes, this is now fixed. See here.

EDIT: wait, "XY [...] did not restart"? I don't have this issue...

Totally silent now even when using flag '2' with SC update. :tup:
