custom tab icon

Post by hari3 »

appending any file name to a tab by the Rename tab option doesn't change the tab's icon to what is there in the file but change's the tab icon by the file's icon.

If it works like this then how can one set a desired icon to a tab bcoz the file's icon is getting applied to the tab.

You export that icon from the .exe file and use this instead?

Did you mention this before? Nope...

Than create an .ico file out of it and use that!

Cannot replicate.

Post the exact tab name you are using, your ico file and screenshot of the result.

Man, do some yoga, and then answer Leito's question: viewtopic.php?p=165292#p165292

Or maybe better still: Stick with Yoga.

Screenshot #2 shows that the 16x16 icon associated to the favicon.ico file is the "camera on a picture", so the icon shown on the tab (screenshot #3) is correct.

Where does the heart (screenshot #4) comes from? Is it a screenshot of favicon.ico opened with Windows Picture Viewer? Can you upload the actual favicon.ico file (and not just a screenshot)?

reset *.ico file association to the default.
download the "ico" .reg file from here and merge to registry.

Yes that should do it.

@hari3 Presumably, you have associated .ico files to this program: Image, which causes the program icon to be displayed instead of the icon preview.
