Great, I'll try out all the possible upgrade scenarios for installation and portable when the next version after 19.50.0229 comes out so I can test upgrading from one version to another.

But regarding this change from yesterday:

I would expect that scenario to also take into account whether it is a portable install or normal install (like today's change concerning the registry that says it takes that difference into account). When updating a normal install, it probably should update the files in the Start Menu if they are present.
