Hi,
Since i've migrated to Windows 10 File association is not working in XYP for images.
It run ok under Windows explorer.
So each time i double click on an image file Windows prompt a dialog asking what program i want to use.
Is there a solution for that ?
Cheers !
Image file association re-prompt on each double click
Re: Image file association re-prompt on each double click
The easiest one that comes to mind is create a Portable File Association (PFA) in XY that points to the application you want to use,
see examples no. 23-25 in the screenshot below:
You might want to check out all the possibilities of PFA in the help file.
I also seem to recall there were some more generic solutions for this problem, maybe search this forum.

so tools > customize file association, add new line:
{:Photo}>C:\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view64.exe
i added this but still im being asked how i want to open .bmp images for example
Re: Image file association re-prompt on each double click
Try substituting {:Image} for {:Photo} to see if that works. {:Photo} is mainly for photos containing Exif data (e.g., JPGs). BMP images do not contain Exif data.
