Hello,

I mainly bought XYplorer for having a good and stable tree view.

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work right now, see attached screenshot: I constantly get buggy views like that (after having moved folders within the tree from one place to another).

Refreshing the tree does NOT help...

Any ideas?

No idea how that happened. You say you get this all the time. Is this always with that particular drive node (X:)?

Well, "all the time" was maybe a little exaggeration. I mean, the problem shows up again and again in totally different situations/drives/folders.

I stopped using XYPlorer: I liked the look and heavily relied on operations (dragging/deleting etc.) within the tree.
But when I use a tool, I would like to have something which is INCREASING productivity, not where my brain gets conditioned over time to be afraid, that the tool crashes again, e.g. whenever I drag over long distances/levels within the tree etc....

I'm a bit annoyed having dumped the money for buying it :-| Maybe trying it again after a few updates *sigh*

PS: I'm running a pretty fresh Win 10 64 system on fast hardware, everything else is working perfectly and smoothly, extensively using software of Adobe, Solidworks, Matlab, virtual machines, etc. etc. basically 18h/day. Not a single other app crashed or did something unexpected during the last weeks or so...

Well, what you got there is a very exotic problem. No other user ever reported this. XYplorer has a long-standing reputation of being extremely stable and bug free. So I think we should try to fix this thing. I say "we" because I would need your help here (since only you have the bug). Are you willing to enter the process?

Hello, I totally understand your point of view, I have a lot of friends/collegues in software developing; one can't do magic without being able to encircle/reproduce the problem. Sorry if my last message came across a bit harsh; it's just that I'm a bit stressed in general and have to prioritize things - it's easier to just leave any tool, which isn't working out of the box, aside for a while than investing time to fix it. And it's not the end of the world ;-) ... -> I'm afraid I can't give any info which will magically solve the problem.

Probably it has to do with a pretty complicated/deeply nested folder structure of many TB of data and using a looooong tree while doing drag/delete operations.

(MAYBE it has to do with the fact that I lifted the 256 character limit of full path via registry entry (not because my directories ARE usually such long, just as a savety net if length temporarily goes slightly over 256 without having Windows error messages.

I experimented with different settings; at the moment they are as attached.

Just to be sure:
- It happens after you drag folder within the tree to a new position, using the left mouse.
- Within the same volume (= drive), or cross-volume?
- That's a normal tree, not a Mini Tree.
- It's Windows 10.

I'm not sure if it's the same bug.
As you can see in the screenshots,
When i select a Links folder (folder "3") and then delete a folder inside it (folder "New"),
it jumps to the Links "root" and the Links tree shows empty list.

That's a bit weird because when you select a link (= a node under "Links") in the folder tree you should jump to that location right away. I can't even understand how you made this screenshot... Could it be that the target of "3" does not exist?

Is it because i'm using the Lock Tree feature?
I'm new to XYplorer, i played around with settings and features to see what they do so maybe there is another setting that causes me to not jump to the folder location.
Basically i was trying to replicate the Quick Access in default Windows 10 File Explorer by using Links and Lock Tree.

A little more info:
-It only happens when deleting a folder (deleting files is fine)
-It happens in every Links folder (not just "3" in this case) and in any "level" inside the Links folder
(3\New\New2\New3\ --deleting "New2" or "New3")

So you also customized the Locked Tree background color to white?

Anyway, I could replicate your bug. Guess I'm going to fix it now...

PS: It is not the same bug as the OT.

I tried everything I could but failed to reproduce the issue so far.

A strange situation because I have a similar problem on Windows 10 64bit
