v19.00.0102: No longer see total folder size in status bar when only folders selected

Using v19.00.0102: When I select multiple folders only and calculate folder sizes, I just see the count of folders in the status bar without the total size. This seems a consequence of changes introduced in v19.00.0102. Please restore the ability to always see total size of selected folders, even if no files are selected. I use this feature all the time! Alternatively, please provide a configuration option to enable the previous behavior.
