I just noticed this, I guess some of the latest versions introduced this.
I use normal folder tree on the left. Current folder in the list is not highlighted in any way in the folder tree. Last time I think it was some greenish background.
No matter Path tracing on or off.
Latest version on Win Server 2016.
Anyone else encountering this behavior?
Folder tree no longer highlighting current folder
Re: Folder tree no longer highlighting current folder
Yes, for quite a while it is controlled via the following settings:
Configuration / Colors and Styles / More Colors
and then "Selections in focused controls" and "Selections in non-focused controls".
This change has irritated me in the beginning too, but then I have found a new (quite wild) color combination with which I can live. Here are my five colors on that control page:
FFFFFF
85348B
000000
C16FC8
B444B7
Configuration / Colors and Styles / More Colors
and then "Selections in focused controls" and "Selections in non-focused controls".

Re: Folder tree no longer highlighting current folder
I'm not aware of a way to have no highlight at all. That would be a bug. How did you achieve that?

Re: Folder tree no longer highlighting current folder
At my place it has not lacked highlight. Rather, highlight was not the tree path tracing color anymore.
As answer to your question Don, if one sets both background for focused and non-focused controls to white (which does not make sense ofcourse), one gets no highlighting at all. I have no idea of other way for highlighting to disappear.

Re: Folder tree no longer highlighting current folder
Yes, but as "Configuration | Colors and Styles | More Colors | Selections in focused controls | Use" is OFF by default and for upgraders, I see no way that this could have happened to tedy just by upgrading.Borut wrote:As answer to your question Don, if one sets both background for focused and non-focused controls to white (which does not make sense ofcourse), one gets no highlighting at all. Re: Folder tree no longer highlighting current folder
Borut, thanks.
Actually I fiddled with the settings afterwards, and found the place with More Colors. I ticked the "Use" box next to not-focused controls and I got a highlight of current folder, that did the trick. The "Use" ckeckboxes were empty by default and I had no highlight at all. I can't remember when this happened, but I update rarely.
I don't change settings or colors for years and my Tree Bg color was always F2F2F2. I uncheck "Use" in More colors and the highlight just disappears.
Anyway, with that box it seems 'fixed'.
This is how it looks with "Use" deselected:
