Clear the Visual Filter entry box, and press OK, and visual filters are cleared.
Clear the Quick Search entry box, and press OK, and a quick search for '*' is run instead.
If not a bug, It's odd at the very least to me, because I have the vf and qf buttons side by side on the toolbar, and I expected the textboxes to work similarly.

Re: Blank Quick Search is not blank
Functionally it's the same: No pattern given => show all. Only that QS is recursive hence you get the find list, whereas VF is non-recursive so we can do with the normal browse list. But yes, it is inconsistent as well: entering nothing is a shortcut for "*" in search, but not in VF.
But it has always been like this ever since. I don't think I should change it. It could break lots of configurations (find templates) and scripts.
But I noted that with normal File Find no "*" is shown in the information bar. That should be done like in QS I think.
