Live Filter Box - Issue with Greek language

Hi there,

When I switch my keyboard to Greek and try to type in the filter box, I get strange non-Greek characters. Is this a known issue?

And this happens only in the Live Filter Box? Not e.g. in the address bar?

It seems to work fine for address bar and Find files tab. I've only seen the problem in the live filter box.

New info: the bug seems to be present only when "Redirect typing to Live Flter Box" setting is enabled. Can you reproduce it?

Edit: all other filter boxes seem to work correctly, so I think this setting is responsible for the problem (perhaps an encoding issue?).

So it only happens when you type into the list (not directly into the box)?

When I type directly into the box it works correctly.

OK. I don't think this is fixable. So it looks like the "Redirect typing to Live Flter Box" feature is not working for non-latin scripts. Or can anybody confirm the opposite?

What follows is *not* the confirmation of the opposite, but just some test results...

Live Filter Box seems indeed not to be Unicode enabled. Unicode seems to not reach the LFB correctly via Redirection.

When I tried with Latin script south Slavic diacritics, they appear in the box without hatchecks, but - interestingly enough - the filter seems to work. When I tried with the Serbian Cyrillic script, then question marks appear in the LFB and the filter seems to fail completely.

As has already been said before, when input is made directly in LFB, then everything seems to be as expected.

Was not aware of this. (BTW, I like the Redirection to LFB very much and use it a lot.)

Yes, correct analysis. I tried this and that, but I don't think this can be fixed. The handling of composite characters is a special skill of the edit box, which is hard to emulate.

So: redirection only with straight Latin.

Yes, please test the current beta version. It *might* be fixed.
