Device (e.g. phone) support is broken in Win 10

Post by Mesh »

In Windows 10, device support (such as cell phones) no longer works. Sometimes this means that the device simply doesn't show up in the tree at all. Other times, it shows up - and if you click it, the list pane will show the "partitions", but if you try to go into them, you get a "path not available" error.

For some months I thought it was just one of those countless Win10 bugs and hoped they would fix it. Now I gave up and try to work around it. It's tricky. I guess I need 2-3 weeks... :|
