while trying everything I did not try before, I just restarted my router per NetCologne backend (System / Gerät zurücksetzen / Gerät neu starten), and that did the trick: I can see http://www.vbforums.com/ again! Crazy.

- Yesterday I had just disconnected the router from electricity to force a restart, and that hadn't been enough. A restart is not a restart is not a restart.
- Yesterday I also talked to the NetCologne technical support and they did not have a clue what to do...
