1.6MB/s
Very high disk usage? oO

Caused by XYplorer.exe?

Are you 100% sure that no antivirus / security / whatever 3rd party product isn't interfering here?
Unable to reproduce this behavior (never had this problem in 6 years)...

I have no AV, no sync software.
XYplorer.exe disk usage is 1.6MB/s.
btw, it's very random so it's hard to tell.

Huh? :veryconfused: XYplorer.exe has zero disk usage unless you are doing something with it.

Sorry to bring this back, but this happens more frequent and still very random:
- Rename file > XYplorer.exe freeze with very high disk usage
- Task Manager take about 5 minute to kill XYplorer.exe

Does it matter which file / file type you rename?
Or where it is located?
How do you rename, by F2?

7) Column Layout: Name,Ext,Size

Slowdown cause number one: An active virus scanner can severely slow down file operations and make XYplorer less responsive. Especially Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender can have a dramatic negative effect on speed. Try to add XYplorer.exe and XYcopy.exe to the exceptions.

Thanks. However, I see nothing that could explain it.

(872 servers ? That's a lot, but I don't think it's related, or is it? Any message in the Status bar about enumerating servers?)

The crash happens when I edit local file and not related to network (nothing in statusbar)

Crash? You mean freeze. Anyway, I can't explain it, but I'm pretty sure it's not caused by XY.
