modified url link opens old url

hi everyone

after modifying a url, either manually with XYPlorer (right click, type new URL), or with an external program, double-clicking on the url file in XYPlorer takes the browser to the old link.

XYPlorer shows the newest url when Right Click > Properties is used.

other file browsers do not have this issue.
it appears that XYPlorer is caching the url file somehow. I cannot find a setting in XYP to fix this.
exiting and restarting XYP fixes the issue. but of course this is not a practical solution.

Which version of XY do you use?
Does it happen within a fresh version as well?

- latest version 18, lifetime license on WinXP

- to clarify, this when modifying the ACTUAL url within a bookmark/url file, NOT renaming

- problem persists as of July 2 2017
