[FIXED]Live Filter doesn't play well with Search

Post by bdeshi »

  • Ran a Live Filter on a search result tab.
It's possible to remove the filter from the LF box and the info bar below the breadcrumb.
  • Opened an item with middle click to a new tab.
  • Went back to the search tab.
  • :bug: The live filter is still applied, but now there's no way to remove it.
The LF box is empty, and the info bar doesn't show the LF info anymore either.
Live Filters are usually removed on tab switch. So apparently the bug is that search result tabs don't follow this rule.

Cannot reproduce. Can you elaborate on this step, please:

What kind of item (file or folder?), which function is that (open to a new tab??)?

Whatever, a change in the next version will probably get rid of the issue.

Hey, really sorry for the long long delay in answering.
The bug still exists.

Apparent on both files and folders.
[X] Configuration > Menus, Mouse, Safety > Mouse > Middle-click opens folder in new tab

Here's a short gif. ::fresh except [X] Configuration > Filters & Type Ahead Find > Type Ahead Find > Redirect typing to Live Filter Box.

Notice after returning to the search tab, no live filter info is present but the list is still filtered.

edit: btw, you might also wish to develop the bug into a feature! :o viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17398

Please check the next version (v17.90.0304). I have totally rewritten larger parts of live filtering and this is hopefully fixed now as well.
