Delete issue with latest version (17.70.0000)

Post by MerleOne »

Hi,
Since I installed the new portable version, when I click on a file, then click on delete, a requester opens asking for confirmation. But when I try to click on OK, the requester is sent to the background and the OK is not validated. I have to switch Windows to be able to cick on the confirmation. Whenever I revert to the previous version, this behaviour disappears.
Regards,
.merle1.

Must be related to the same issue I'm having with PicaView. Something has changed.

What is a requester?

Please try v17.70.0001.

I meant a popup windows that ask for the confirmation that the delete file is to be done (just some memories from my Amiga times...).
Such as this one

OK, I tried the .0001 version, same issue.

I now get this "prompt" after I select a file and click on the delete icon from the icon bar. This prompt is "localized" whereas it was not with previous version (seemed to come from XYPlorer, not Windows). As soon as I click on it, not on the OK button, it goes "behind" XYplorer window and so is not accessible unless I perform Alt-Tab. If I click right on OK, it seems to work in some case but really I don't see why the prompt goes behind XYplorer window when clicked on.
Reverting back to previous version...

Regards !

Oops, wrong impression, when reverting back to v17.60.0100, I stil get the localized prompt *but* clicking everywhere on it doesn't push it behing XYplorer windows, as expected.

Hmm, I don't like this. I'm in panic mode for 4 hours now, and it's false alarm?

No, not a false alarm, I just made a mistake about the localized version of the prompt where I thought it had changed, it didn't actually. Probably because I tried on 2 different computers.

But the main issue remains with 17.70.000x, the prompt (whatever is written on it) goes behind the XYplorer window when clicked on (even sometimes on OK). So it becomes really difficult to delete a file... No need to panic though, I am sure this will get sorted out.
