This problem has been plaguing me for some time now. Doesn't happen (obviously) in Explorer or Q-Dir. They are both able to open the files fine.
File is located in the Startup folder:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Tried to run as admin and limited user and both don't work.
Shortcut points to: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\ONENOTE.EXE"
Tried on virgin XYplorer 17.60 install and it still doesn't work. I can launch shortcut from Explorer or Q-Dir fine.
I see this message sometimes. Any idea what's causing it or how to fix it?

Re: XYplorer cannot open certain shortcuts
OK I think I figured out why it's not running. If I remove the x86 from the program file shortcut, it runs.
EDIT: Can confirm that folder to x86 does not exit, so XYplorer is behaving "logically". Now, the puzzling thing is that Windows explorer and Q-dir run this fine even with the x86 in the shortcut.
Is this a bug in XYplorer? Is it because it's 32-bit while Onenote and Explorer are 64bit? Can it be corrected?

Better. Looking at the news it seems like god isn't that supportive after all.

Re: XYplorer cannot open certain shortcuts
Ok, I went into all of my shortcuts folders and fixed all of the entries. It works now. Very bizarre decision from MS to do this :-\admin wrote:See here: viewtopic.php?p=145805#p145805

I'm just writing a FAQ article on that. You will not be the last to fall into that trap.
