A few days ago I was using XYplorer to browse C:\Program Files. Unexpectedly, it froze for an hour, so I restarted it. It was still frozen in the C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\ directory and has never thawed. I can't reinstall it because I got it from Giveaway of the Day a few years ago and the install license was good for only 24 hours.
Can anyone suggest something I can do at this point?

XYplorer freezes
Re: XYplorer freezes
Go into your configuration folder of XY
Menu - Go - Go to Application Data Folder (if that entry exists)
Now navigate to that folder with Windows Explorer
Exit XYplorer
Delete the folder named "Panes" in Windows Explorer (maybe make a backup copy of it somewhere else)
Start XYplorer

Start XYplorer

Wow, it took you all of 5 minutes to come up with an answer. I'm impressed.
I'm unable to go to the XY configuation folder because I'm still totally locked out. However I looked for "panes" on my C: drive and found
Dean1 and Rachel1 are the userids of me and my girlfriend, the only people who use this computer. Should I go ahead and remove both folders?

5 minutes? Next time I'll try to do it in one^^
The locations are correct. But I wouldn't remove the XYplorer but the Panes folder inside of it (and as I said backup them just in case).
If you really remove the XYplorer ones you'll start from scratch (config wise)...
