Humf ... For my own, I run W10 build 14393 and XY 14.30. And everything is OK.
I'm sure someones run :

- W10 build 14393 + XY 17.40, or
- W10 build 15007 + XY 17.30

It will be great sharing your experience ...

You're right, there is no problem with W10 b14393 and XY 17.30. But Price's post give a doubt : he reports a problem with W10 b15007 + XY 17.40. Due to 15007 ? Due 17.40 ? Maybe both ? Maybe specific to Price's other config ? I don't know.

So, I plan to upgrade my b14393/17.30 to b15007/17.40 (as Price did !) in the next days but I'am lazy and I would prefer avoiding a rollback

This is the reason while I think a cross test will give some informations.

That problem was not any incompatibility between versions, but a simple Windows hickup. This is pretty normal for OSs to happen from time to time and can usually be cured by a restart or a relog (log out/log in) (as in this case).

With release 17.50 I get the same error. I am using Windows 10 build 15014 it seems to not come with VB 6 Runtime. Si I installed parts of this program

Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime Plus 2.2.zip

and it works. Not sure if MS will install this in The Creators Update which is due for release in April. Just an FYI
