Delete doesn't happen instanteniously

Post by LittleBiG »

A nasty side effect came with your recent change in the deletion process. My normal way to delete files/folders when I was in a hurry and sure about the delition was that I pressed the delete button, and the Enter immediately after that, to confirm the delete. Recently there is a gap between the two, so pressing Enter doesn't happen in the confirmation dialog, but before that. (The confirmation dialog became too lazy.) So either I open the file or enter the folder I wanted to delete. Yesterday was the most serious one: I wanted to delete hundreds of empty folders. But pressing Enter started to open all folders in Explorer one by one. :x I had to kill the XY process, it was quite difficult because my computer was so busy.

When the dialog started to give more info about what will be deleted.

You mean the option

Configuration | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Safety Belts | Confirm delete operations

?

Simply untick it... :)

Yes, and I lose an otherwise good functionality. I rather thought not to give the keyboard input to the XY main window but wait until the confirmation dialog appears.

So you enable the confirmation dialog, but press Enter before it's even shown? Wouldn't it only be logical if you disable the dialog right away?
