DnD'ing from Recycle Bin

Post by zer0 »

When using Explorer to DnD files from RB into XY, the names of the resulting files are "internal" ones like $ABCXYZ even though RB shows the original names.

Anything XY can do about that? Doesn't look like XY can DnD from RB -- I don't always want to restore files to the location where they were deleted from -- so that's why I'm sticking with WE.

Oooh! This is getting fixed Don?! I submitted a bug report about this ages ago but it was ignored so I thought you did not want to deal with it.

Yeah, should be fixed in last beta. (The name thing. I'll check if I can allow dragging...)

UPDATE: No, I cannot allow dragging items from Recycler. It would screw the Recycle Bin DB (on Move; Copying from RB would work, but this already works now via clipboard). (And I saw even Win8 Explorer does not handle this without a bug.)

OH MY GOODNESS. Just updated to it. Do you know how awesome this is?! Due to the software that I use, I always have to move a lot of files in that software to the recycle bin first before I can restore it. Due to this name issue in the past, I always had to go to Explorer to do it. Now I can do it all in XYplorer!!! :appl:

Well, I guess it's fine that I can't move it and can only copy it. It's better than nothing. And lol. Another persistent Windows bug.
