When i copy folder , if the folder name is from source is different from the target ,for example the source folder's name is "list" while the target is "LIST" (uppercase)
( i copy "list" folder and overwrite with "LIST" folder )
e:/source/list
e:/target/LIST
although the files are copied to the LIST folder , but the tag is written to "list" ,the character case is different ,so the tag does not display in xyplorer
the tag will be
e:/source/list/k.jpg|0|||||||h004
while it should be
e:/source/LIST/k.jpg|0|||||||h004
so i want to ask for fixing this problem ,so xyplorer will write the tag correct to the actual existing directory when copy/move file
Thanks

Re: Case sensitive problem with Tag when moving copy file
hi the issue happen when i do this :admin wrote:I fixed. Works fine here. Bug gone.
Where is still the bug?
i have two files
e:\source\list\c\t.jpg comment field "new"
e:\target\List\C\t.jpg comment field "old"
i do custom copy with "copy tag on copy operation"
folder copied "e:\source\list"
existing folder "e:\target\List"
(that mean i copy "list" folder from "e:\source\" to "e:\target" folder and overwrite the "e:\target\List" folder)
you can see the "list" and "List" is in different case
and their subfolder "c" and "C" is in different case ,too (the issue caused by this)
after replaced the comment of e:\target\List\C\t.jpg should be displayed as "new" but it is still "old"
after copied ,i saved setting and open tag.dat and see that tag
Code: Select all
e:\target\List\c\t.jpg|0|||||||newbut its subfolder "c" is not changed ,it is still "c" while it should be "C" ,that 's why the tag is not displayed (issue here)
sorry for my bad english
