Re: Drag stops working
That is correct. I have the XY window still open and drag is not working.

That is already ticked.

I have that ticked as well, in case that's important.m48tx wrote:That is already ticked.
Re: Drag stops working
I was able to reproduce the drag failure with this sequence of events:
- downloaded three zip files (each zip file containing multiple files) to holding folder
- use WinRAR to extract each zip file to its own folder (under holding folder)
- using FileMenuTools, create two destination folders in permanent location
- F4 to refresh tree
- navigate into zip folder 1 and select 90% of the files and drag to destination folder 1
- navigate into zip folder 2 and select all files and drag to destination folder 1
- navigate into zip folder 3 and select 90% of the files then batch rename to "String *"
- with files still selected, drag to destination folder 2 but the drag fails from this point forward

Re: Drag stops working
I unticked it and drag is still broken (I have not restarted XY).

Re: Drag stops working
FileMenuTools is a shareware program that provides customizable right click context menu entries one of which is to create folders. I use this so I can create folders in the tree without losing focus of the files currently selected. It is just another way to create folders.

Also, my right click context menu is now screwed up. A lot of entries are missing. Hmmmm.

Re: Drag stops working
OK, I don't think the issue is related to FileMenuTools.
I have no time right now to continue the hunt. But we have a good trace. I'll come back later... (You can restart XY now )

Is this a 100% way to reproduce it?m48tx wrote:I was able to reproduce the drag failure with this sequence of events:

Do you open the context menu to batch rename? (a 3rd shell extension might be causing it)
How many files did you drag?
Was that a copy or a move?
Custom Copy or shell copy?
The last version (v17.50.0205) has an enhanced debug log. When it happens again please let's see that log again.
