Hi All,
For me at least, under some circumstances, the LFB is cleared after a file is deleted, but the LV stays filtered. To repro:
1. Navigate to a network drive.
2. Use the LFB to filter the LV.
3. Delete/nuke one of the files shown in the LV.
I have tried with background processing for delete on and off with the same result.
This doesn't happen if you are on a local drive.
Can anyone confirm this?
Cheers

Unfortunately, no.
Neither with my current v17.00.0100 nor with a ::fresh; instance of it.

Well that's a bugger
There must be a setting or something that's triggering it. I will dig deeper...

Does it work correctly with a fresh instance? There must be a setting or something that's triggering it

Re: LFB cleared after file delete on network drive
I am going to test it, but I won't be able to until Monday.
In the meantime, have a good weekend!

Re: LFB cleared after file delete on network drive
I fixed my issue.
After much mucking about I ended up setting the "Allowed number of entries in the action log" to the maximum value of 256 (it was set to 100) and the problem went away.
Perhaps my action log was corrupted in some way, because going back to 100 did not cause the issue to re-occur.
My config is at least 7 years old and I have never changed this value. Interestingly, after playing around with this value my action.dat file is still dated 29-Oct-2009.
Cheers
John

Could not reproduce either.

Re: LFB cleared after file delete on network drive
This is very curious.
I have been conducting some experimentation and can reproduce at will.
The problem is seems to only occur on Win XP (my work machine) and on a network folder that is accessed by drive letter (but not in the '\\<server-name>' form).
In this folder: \\tsiwdcgffs001\tjmt1$\My Documents\Tmp
1. create a file (eg testfile.txt)
2. enter in LFB: file
3. select and delete testfile.txt
4. the LV is still filtered and the LFB still shows file
In this folder: u:\My Documents\Tmp
1. create a file (eg testfile.txt)
2. enter in LFB: file
3. select and delete testfile.txt
4. the LV is still filtered but the LFB is cleared
Note that "\\tsiwdcgffs001\tjmt1$\My Documents\Tmp" and "u:\My Documents\Tmp" both refer to the same folder.
