"Custom copy" is activated for all copy and move operations. When I drag and drop anything with a right-click and chose "copy or move here" in the context menu, Windows is handling the operation.
The Custom copy handler only works, when I drag and drop with a left-click or when I use the context menu (right-click file - context menu copy - right-click destination - context menu paste).
I am using Windows Server 2012 R2.

I guess you do this drap & drop in the same pane, right?
It works fine from pane to pane

Re: No "Custom copy" with right-click drag and drop
I have only one pane active. I tried copying within a tab, from one tab to another and from a tab into the folder tree. Every time, Windows handled the copy operation.

The exact names are "Copy here" and "Move here". These commands are available in the context menu after dragging a file/folder some place with the right mouse button pressed (mouse cursor with "plus" icon).

Re: No "Custom copy" with right-click drag and drop
This is the shell drop context menu: It can only trigger shell functions.
To see the XYplorer drop context menu tick this:
Configuration | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Context Menus | Custom drag and drop context menu

Em, the normal right click drag and drop context menu looks like this:
So you didn't activate XY's context menu:
[x] Configuration | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Context Menus | Custom drag and drop context menu
Edit: Too late...

Re: No "Custom copy" with right-click drag and drop
Thanks, the custom context menu works well :-)
I wasn't aware that the shell context menu cannot be forced to use anything else than the shell for file operations, apart from adding an additional copy/move command of course ... which would be confusing, I guess.

Re: [solved] No "Custom copy" with right-click drag and drop
Hi, first of all a hats of to the developer, XYplorer is a terrific program!
I do have a problem though, just like the one described in this thread!
When I connect my Samsung mobile phone with SD card to my PC, and try to copy a large file from the SD card in the phone to my D drive, custom copy doesn't work, it starts the normal windows copy thing, which in turn renders XYplorer unusable for the time it copies.
All the solutions I found in this thread are turned on, I use the custom context menu, custom copy is enabled for everything, I'm at the end of my wisdom. Maybe someone can chime in that knows more than I do?
Thanks a lot!

Re: [solved] No "Custom copy" with right-click drag and drop
Custom copy doesn't support MTP so I think that currently the process can't be backgrounded without opening another instance of XY or similar workaround.

Wow that was fast! Thanks a lot, at least now I know there's nothing wrong with my config!
That goes only for phones though, right?
