Crash on startup

Post by markus.stempl »

After the upgrade from 16.60.0000 to 16.80.0000 Xyplorer (No-Install Package) worked very well, but after closing for the first time and starting again, XYplorer crashes and the attached window appears. The same result appears, when I try to start the backup I made before updating (including the "Data"-folder). I also tried to downgrade to 16.60.0000 with the same result: When opening for the first time, XYplorer works, after the second start it crushes again like it did before.

Does anybody have an idea?

Windows 10 Pro, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 64-Bit

Thanks a lot
Markus

Welcome to the club.

So you have a backup of a portable XY setup (16.60.0000) which crashes on the second start as well? Why should the upgrade be responsible for this behavior when the old version does the same? Just wondering...

The error message is exactly the same each time? Even the memory address in the screenshot? Free or pro version of XY? Make a backup of your XYplorer.ini file, remove the license info there (if you have the pro version), zip it and attach it to your next post.

do you happen to have your phone or iphone connected with a USB when open XYplorer.

mine mom's phone (iPhone 4) crashes when it is plugged in.

and when Run as Admin... it says:
"The instruction at 0x752d8322 referenced memory at 0x67103b18. The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to terminate the program"

Open xyplorer first and re-connect phone to USB and a while later, Xyplorer crash.
without have connected or charging, no crash.

Thanks for the report. I'll try to narrow it down in the next beta.

This is still happening. It just happened to me while I had my phone connected to the PC through USB (an Android phone if it matters). I came here by googling the error message in search of a solution and found that this is the exact scenario I was experiencing (that's why I'm necroing this old thread; and after a few searches, I didn't found any new threads about this, sorry if there are any).
