Dynamic icon in CTB context menu caption with alias not working
Re: Dynamic icon in CTB context menu caption with alias not working
I did look at the time of the post, but the beta time and the post time are different due to the time zone difference so I ended up incorrectly assuming that Don's last post was essentially telling me to check for myself. No problem.

Re: Dynamic icon in CTB context menu caption with alias not working
Thanks Don, the icon in the caption is working great for variables (beta v22.30.0211). I'm sure autocart will check his original request for aliases.
Thanks autocart for bringing this up.

I am glad that also someone else appreciates this.

Re: Dynamic icon in CTB context menu caption with alias not working
Yes thank you autocart. It's a big deal for me at least for use of perms. I don't use many aliases.
Don, we shouldn't expect this to work with declared globals though, right? With variables made Global in "_Initialize" and then again under the caption, we wouldn't expected it to work since the variable wouldn't be realized as global until after the caption is read. Not a problem in any way. I wouldn't expected them to.

Re: Dynamic icon in CTB context menu caption with alias not working
If I would have known that it generally would/should work with perms as well, I would have used them first.
But now that I am already using aliases in this case, I'll leave it that way for right now. Maybe later ... but then, never change a running system.

This is not in the scope of globals.
