Hi! I'm a Chinese user of XYplorer. I've seen a lot of mistakes in the translation and much of the translation seems to be done by machine. The overall quality is quite terrible. Considering the original translator is no longer proofreading the existing translations (so probably he's not using the software any longer), could you allow me to take over the translation and go through it to correct all the mistakes? I can handle the updates too. I hope the original translator won't mind it.

Here are some examples:
  • The hotkeys of menus and buttons (Alt+Letter) should be capitalized in the translation, like 文件(&F), but more than half of them are not. This is an old issue mentioned in this thread, but the translator won't fix it.
  • The "Safety Belts" in Configuration is translated to the safety belt in real life, but in fact it should be translated to "Safety Options" in Chinese, or it will be meaningless.
  • (This one is near the end of file, so maybe it's newly-added) "wiping file <#> of <2:#>" is translated to "擦除文件 <2:#> 中的 <#> 个". Plug 21 and 42 into the text, and it reads "wiping file 21 of 42", but "擦除文件 21 中的 42 个" means "wiping the 42 things in the file named 21".
These are just some random examples. A lot more are mistranslated because the translator directly translated the words into Chinese (i.e. direct translation, which should be avoided) or he used MT. Therefore, I hope you can allow me to take over and fix the translation.

Well, not speaking Chinese it's hard for me to judge this. But of course I'm thankful for anybody who helps to improve the app!

Maybe you should contact the translator by PM (personal message function, here in the forum) to hear his opinion.

Thank you for your reply. It turned out that I'm not able to use the PM function:
We are sorry, but you are not authorised to use this feature. You may have just registered here and may need to participate more in discussions to be able to use this feature.
I'll send an email to him according to the address in the translation.
