Thanks!

(These are special messages that are not always easy to force. Do you have a problem with a translation?)

I am fine. Others have it too.
In either case, restart XY first.
Or try other, or fresh installation.
I have e.g. v18.30.0021
---------------
charset = UTF-16LE

[core].FAIL (clone filetimes)
I found this entry in the report. It's a bug.
To reproduce
1. make an invalid symbolic link to the file. (for example, delete this file after creating symbolic link)
2. through the right click and dragging make a back-up in another file-pane.
The file will be copied, but in the report you will see
FAIL (clone filetimes)

Another defect. (I do not know, may be it can so should be)
If I create a shortcut file whatsnew.php and then insert a line into pane (without LFB) http://www.xyplorer.com/whatsnew.php, the file will be highlighted.
But if I type http://www.xyplorer.com/whatsnew.php in LFB, then after applying the filter, the file will not be listed.
----------
If this is the case (so should be), write in the help-file that this applies only to the Find as you type function.
The help does not focus on the fact that the Find as you type function can do what the Live Filter Box does not do.

You talk about the "Configuration | Filters & Type Ahead Find | Type Ahead Find | Paste and find" feature. This is different from LFB.

v16.90.0105 - 2016-06-08 16:19
* Raw View: Decided to remove the "Huge Text File" prompt altogether.
Instead, for files larger than 10 MB, "(cropped)" is shown in the Raw View's meta data section, and "... [continues]" is shown at the bottom of the preview. Better work flow, less is more.
removed, but in lng-file I have:
[messages].Huge Text File
Forgot to delete or uses it somewhere?

2) in Help: (prev.htm): "... For huge text files only the first 5 MB are shown for performance reasons."
Ok. It is already related to other tab of info of pane: Preview.

And for .. for performance reasons i will have there the same as in Quick File View: 256 KB. No more.

If I want scroll the text until the end of 256 KB let there be a command "open/read all".
FYI, opening text-file even limited 5 MB continues very long, much longer than 10 MB in hex view.
10MB in hex view = 0.5sec, 5MB in preview 6-7sec
And during opening I can't cancel reading, until all 5 MB will be read.

Preview delay not works:
1) Esc there not works by 0 ms and by 1sec.
2) If I have more than 0 ms delay, then by preview htm files сlicking a link inside html-file transfers me not to the place of the link, but to the beginning of the file. In general, the file is read again.
---------------
Text files are a small part of the problem with Preview tab.
Please make first so that in this tab were no problems with text-files, as in Quick File View.
This problem lasts from the very beginning of our acquaintance.
Probably because the problem is so old no one is telling you about it.

Huge Text File: Indeed forgot to remove. Thanks!

Text Preview: 5MB loads in less than 1 sec here. No problem.

Look at the difference in the opening time of this file in the Preview and Raw view tab.
Raw view tab without checkbox Hex will open this file minimum 10 times faster and without «(cropped)».
Just switch from one tab to the other.
The visible text will be identical (on English), but in the Preview tab text will be cropped (5MB).
-----------
The opening time is certainly depends on computer. I have 0.3..0.5 seconds (Hex View) and 5..7 seconds (Preview).

From Help

Code: Select all

folderreport()
type
      tcsv: Tree of items (folders and files) with basic data in CSV format: Raw Bytes;Modified Date[;Version].
1) it is misprint?
Modified Date[;Version]
must be
Modified Date;[Version]

2) folderreport(tcsv);
I cannot see any version
only so: folderreport("tcsv", , , "v");

There is not much difference here, sometimes Preview is even faster (showing only 5MB of 7). I added loadtime measurement to the Preview. Compare the screenshots:
LoadPreview.png
LoadPreview.png (14.15 KiB) Viewed 2479 times
LoadRawview.png
LoadRawview.png (15.82 KiB) Viewed 2479 times
Your example is UTF-8. Only the Preview does the decoding. This takes some time, of course.

1) I think it's okay like this.

2) Thanks, will improve.
