Friends! Tell me, please - when I view files in list mode, I turn on auto-size columns and everything works well, long names are displayed in their entirety. But if I switch to the branch view mode, the column autosize function is turned off all the time, if you turn off the branch view mode and enable it on other folders. I did not find how to configure the program correctly, or is it some kind of error in the program? Version 23.10

Oh, in beta version 23.10.0028, the auto-size of columns in the branch view mode is preserved.

О, в бета версии 23.10.0028 авторазмер столбцов в режиме просмотра ветки сохраняется.

There should be some improvements in the next beta. Browse mode and Find mode (incl. Branch View) keep their own list settings. Now when you switch to Branch View simply turn on autosize columns (or checkboxes, etc), and it will stick in the next Branch View.

Let me know if still have trouble with it.

Not found in UI:
ms.0677=01|Copy Junction Target{menuitem}

This item must be in Breadcrumb Bar Context Menu of Components, if component is a junction (v23.20.0108):
+ Breadcrumb Bars | Context Menu of Components: Now if the component is a junction, the menu offers the command "Copy Junction Target".

but there is only new item "Resolve Junctions"

v23.30.0213: ..I added (unfortunately after releasing MLS 8.149) the simple "Toggle Expansion" command which does the same as clicking an expansion icon.

may be fortunately:
In UI you used "expanding/collapsing nodes in Tree", "expand/collapse icons", but not expansion icon

"Toggle Expansion" is not good, better Expand/Collapse or Toggle Expand/Collapse

Next beta should handle it better.

When I tried to find the Fixed Mini Tree and Managed Tree lines in the interface, I set FixedMiniTree=1 in Admin.ini. After that, I had a stable program crash.

Then I set FixedMiniTree=2 and =3, AllowedDirs=C:\p_soft.
After editing Admin.ini (where FixedMiniTree was no longer present) I kept getting a MiniTree, which is not logical. Expected was maxi-tree.
I don't know what caused it (the lack of AllowedDirs or trying to change the mini-tree icon), but after a while I got a tree that did not react to anything: changing Admin.ini and even deleting Admin.ini did not help

I had to use Explorer, because, I could not go to the folder I needed.
Comparison of the old and new XYplorer.ini found that the TreeStyle=6871 key was the cause of the glitch

Check XY with this key.

1. Thanks for LNG.

2. Thanks for crash report. Fix comes.

3. Yes, those styles (lock tree, lock expansion state) will stick. It's easy to reset them via Customize Tree, and in the real world this scenario is unlikely to happen anyway.

From CHM in idh_find.htm:
Note that you can alternatively select the Boolean and RegExp modes by prefixing the name pattern with : or > and thereby *overwrite* the setting of the Mode dropdown! If you do, the dropdown will be replaced by a static label reflecting the current mode.
It's not working right now. (v23.70.0100)
static label appears only for Regular expressions mode. (only for >)

When you click on caption "Mode', symbol ":" is entered in the 'name' field, but the static label does not appears. (appears only for >)
---------

something is wrong here too
Alternatively you may quote your patterns to protect them from parsing. You must, however, supply all needed wildcards in quoted patterns, else they are taken as "exact matches".
if pattern has wildcards and this pattern is quoted, then see defenition:
..XYplorer also supports Exact Match: If the pattern is quoted, only files are found, whose name exactly matches the pattern.
---------------
this hasn't worked in a long time:
Tip 1: Selecting a location from the dropdown will trigger a search in that location. Hold CTRL to prevent this.
------------
Tip 2: Multi Location Searches also support CRLF .. This allows for human-friendlier lists. To enter such list you need to use a variable, of course, e.g. <clipboard>.
printing <clipboard> works, but it's written so I kind of have to see human-friendlier lists in the Location field.
Because this is given as a tip to a detailed way of getting this kind of list in the Location field.

-------------
Search In List works in Quick Search and in Find Files. Here are some examples:
Examples works from Address bar but not in Quick Search and in Find Files.
For example <selitems ;>?* /e works from Quick Search and from the Name field of Find files, not from the Location field.
<selitems ;>?a* works only from the Address bar.

Everything needs to be checked. That is, check for more <allitems ;> <allitems |> then # and +, and and this should not conflict with the context menu of the find now button and it should all work the same in the Address bar, Quick Search, and search from the Location field.

There is a difficulty in understanding the word List.
The context menu of the 'find now' button refers to the list of items in the file panel.
And in Search In List mode, the word List denotes the list of items in the Location field.

1. Confirmed and fixed.

2. See no problems with quoted patterns. Example?

3. Again, see no problem.

4. Yes, I fixed something, but most fixes were done in the Help file, which was misleading here in various places.

Thanks!
