Re: Windows 10
Does anyone use and still run Acronis True Image 2013 on Win 10? If yes, do the "new" notifications work for you?
The core backup functions seem to work fine after the upgrade over here (though I haven't done a system recovery yet), but the Win 7 / 8.1 balloon tips haven't been "converted" into working Win 10 notifications. I didn't noticed that with other programs yet (which is fully compatible with my notion if Win 10's backwards compatibility).
Thanks, FH

Re: Windows 10
I don't like the white theme it's very bright and eye annoying (win 8.1 colors are better)
the battery life is shorter than how it was in win 8.1
there's some distractions between new setting panel and old control panel (one is enough).
after setting potplayer as default media player from "Set Default Programs" panel windows keeps asking for every extension if i want to make it open by default with potplayer

Re: Windows 10
• Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\System Settings.
• "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
• [Scroll down and] under Shutdown Settings section, check Hibernate.
• Optionally, pick Hibernate for "When I press the power button"
That doesn't help?
Also in my experience, hibernation depends on the video driver. Maybe you do not yet have a proper driver for you graphics card, maybe it's just running on MS VGA driver or something basic like that, maybe the driver hasn't been released for W10 yet......

Re: Windows 10
Check this cmd first:yusef88 wrote:i've done.my big problem with win 10 is enabling hibernation every solution I've tried didn't work out
powercfg /a
Hybernate should be listed in the result.
1) If not, your video driver does not support Hibernate
2) It it says Hybernation is not enabled, run this cmd:
powercfg /hibernate on
Bonus:
Code: Select all
(*) Why your computer cannot go on sleep mode:
1) This usually occurs when your display adapter driver is not compatible.
+Try checking to determine what states are available to you:
- Click Start > type cmd in the search box > right-click cmd in results above > click Run as administrator
- At the prompt type powercfg -a > press enter
+ Solution: Download and upgrade the latest driver for VGA card
2) By default Windows 7 has media sharing turned on ( for xbox , ps3) ect this pervents it from going into standby Mode
Power Options > change Plan settings > Advanced Power Settings
Allow hybrid Sleep > disabled
Allow wake timers > disable/enable try both settings
USB selective suspend > ENABLE
3) A Device wake your computer up too soon:
+ To see the list of all devices that can wake the computer, run the following command:
Powercfg -devicequery wake_armed
+ To disable a specific device from waking the computer, run the following command, or use Device Manager:
Powercfg -devicedisablewake "devicename"
+ OR: GO to device manager => Power management tab of any device => Uncheck "allow this device to wake computer"
4) It Admin disabled via Group policy:
Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Power Management

Re: Windows 10
google "the hiberfil type does not support hibernation" suggest some solution.
Bascially, hibernation means everything on RAM are copied to C:\hiber.sys (file name may differ) on HDD to be resumed later. This file may be corrupted
