Re: Scripting: switching text pane "Word wrap" permantly ON?
Hi serendipity, thanks for your support. :D If you check word wrap in Run script or Try script window it is remembered for the next time. You're right. But how about the pane evoked by "text" (or any other multi-text boxes no matter what the calling context might be)? Cheers, Filehero

Scripting: switching text pane "Word wrap" permantly ON?
Hi, is there a way to switch on "Word wrap" by default in script-related text panes, eg. in the Run script textbox or the multi-line textbox in general? I've found some "*wrap*"-settings in the ini, but they don't seem to be related to my "issue". Thanks & cheers, F...

Re: Permanent Variables: "Rememberance" needs two cycles to
Hi,
thanks for clarification.
Of course, I did read the help section before - but forgot to take a deeper look into the scope section.
Got it now: my first one was a local var, and local vars could never become permanent by definition.
Cheers,
Filehero

Permanent Variables: "Rememberance" needs two cycles to work
Hi, observation making a permanent variable remembered (HD-persistent) at least needs two cycles of setting/restarting XY to become effective. env ; XYplorer 10.90.0000 configuration file ; Windows 7 Professional (Service Pack 1), 64-bit test script "Create test variable" $p_myName = "...

Re: Something like a shell's "profile"? [Solved]
I'm not clear what your requirements are for $targetpath: if it's similar to the upstream path in that it can be set once and for all per computer, a system variable should work? Yes, the $targetpath is supposed to be the same. You're right, system variables is the obvious way to go. But there are ...

Re: Something like a shell's "profile"?
Hi nas8e9, thank you for your reply. :) No, unfortunately I'm not relying on window's world wide canonical folders. But I should better try to give a better example ('backup'), so here I go: Computer 1's path for backup --> D:\$targetPath Computer 2's path for backup --> C:\Data\$targetPath My goal:...

Something like a shell's "profile"? [SOLVED]
Hi, did a search with different combinations of "autoload", "perm" "global", "variable", "profile" etc., but straight from the result subjects I rather had no luck yet. Nevertheless, I'd like to apologize for any overlooks in advance. "pr...

Re: Possible ways to place a call to a PowerShell script?
Hi Twisten, thank you for confirmation and summary of options. After a long evening of challenging XY under real-word project conditions, I seem to have found the Catalog to become _my_ natural home for those functional links. In me there grows a certain feeling, I will have to buy this seemingly pl...

Possible ways to place a call to a PowerShell script?
Hi there, today I'm validating XYPlorer's options for integration of my powershell/"DOS" script pool. After playing with some documented approaches (UDC, user buttons) I'm unsure wether I might already have taken the "getting lost" route... :?: Here's my entry-level goal: I want ...

Re: Tree pane border padding
Hi, it's me again - no, I'm not a nitpicker. Seriously, it's not a bummer - and most users won't even notice my point, I guess. Nevertheless, I'd like to ask for introduction of a dedicated Tweak "left padding" for panes - some day/some version. For me, that's not about aesthetic...

Minor thingie - maybe rather noob question
Hi, well, if my "issue" doesn't fit here, feel free to move it to a "better" place. Icon user home folder Obviously, this is not important at all. But since I don't know the actual requirement which should have been implemented, I decided to note it here. "Issue": the i...

Re: EXIF-Data in Info Panel?
Hi, thanks for your comments. 1.1) You're welcome. :D 2.1) Sure, anything faster than the info tip should help (after taking one deep dive into the options yesterday evening, I expect those "extended" thumbnails to become quite configurable anyway). And: adding those thumbnails must not ne...

EXIF-Data in Info Panel?
Hi there, having a long history in file manager usage on Windows (various Commanders, PowerDesk, IdoswinPro for many years, and most recently Q-Dir) I now end up evaluating the current mother of them all (well, from my last weekend web readings I think the adjective "current" actually rath...
