Re: XYcopy - AutoQueue
I'd personally like to have AutoQueue always on, with two (generally quick-to-complete) exceptions: 1. deletes; 2. moves within the same partition (MFT-updating instead of file reading-then-writing). In terms of UI, I'd prefer a toolbar button as on-off switch, with an option or tweak to allow right...

Re: XYcopy wishes
Let me ask about point 1): MD5 or SHA1-hashing. The idea is to compare source and copy to verify it's identical? I would do no hashing then, far too slow. I would just compare the bytes. Or? The aim would be to verify that source and (physical, i.e. not Window's file cache) target are identical. I ...

Re: DVD RW drive not showing up in "computer" or "drives" button
I see both my empty DVD drives (RW and the other one) everywhere, tree, list, buttons. This is what it should be like. I can only second the OP's findings. Like him, I run Windows 7 x64; I'm guessing something changed since XP and/or bus type (IDE ATA/ATAPI vs. Storage controller (SATA)) makes a di...

Re: 7-Zip shell context menu and Windows 7 x64
7-Zip's context menu doesn't show up in XYplorer under Windows 7 x64. It shows up fine in Windows Explorer, and it shows up in XYplorer under Vista 32-bit. I have tried installing 32- and 64-bit versions of 7-Zip for both the stable 4.65 and the latest beta (9.11), running XYplorer under compatibil...

Re: DVD RW drive not showing up in "computer" or "drives" button
it only shows up when there is a disc in the drive. this behavior seems inconsistent because the dvd drive is always shown in the tree. so i expect it to also always show in the "computer" or "drives" toolbar button. can this be fixed so that happens? I agree that this is incons...

Re: 8.90.0003 beta: Suspend Auto-Refresh turned on when copying
Remedy: - Turn ON "Refresh during file operations" (context menu of Auto- Refresh TB button), else you have to refresh manually after a file operation. You're right: I didn't read too carefully and thought enabling Auto-Refresh via View > Auto-Refresh would be sufficient. My bad.

Re: DVD RW drive not showing up in "computer" or "drives" button
Does it make a difference whether there's a disc in the DVD-RW drive?

8.90.0003 beta: Suspend Auto-Refresh turned on when copying
With 8.90.0003 beta with Auto-Refresh turned on and with Suspend Auto-Refresh turned off, copying a file turns on Suspend Auto-Refresh.

XYcopy wishes
I can't find a wish list for XYcopy ( currently under development ), so here goes: 1. Verify after copy/move: MD5 or SHA1-hashing after cache flush or something? Possible life saver for when using wireless network links and USB sticks. 2. "Intelligent" queue: * Moving files on the same par...

Re: Open In New Tab
XYplorer's context menu for folder items has a Open in New Tab-item at the top; alternatively, the current shortcut assigned to the Open in New Tab item is pressing Shift + a single click on a folder item to open the folder in a new tab. Really? Is that a fairly recent development? I'm using 8.80.3...

Re: Open In New Tab
Is it possible to have an option to 'open in a new tab' when right-clicking on a folder? I just realised I can do this with a shift + double click on the folder, but I find the right-click function more intuitive (since it'd match how I use firefox!). It's always possible I'm an extreme minority th...

Re: XYPlorer hang on file deletion
Just to clarify - my recycle bin was indeed full and bloated when the problem first started a few months ago now, but clearing it (and running CCleaner, defragmenting, restarting etc.) didn't solve the problem. I really like XYplorer. But I can't use it for some time now. File explorer that can't m...

Re: OT: Migrating from XP to Win7
What is the impact? - everything is slower: no problem, I just need virtual OS for testing - Windows 7 is slower than non-virtual: no problem, as long as the relative speeds are similar. As long as I can distinguish slower from faster I can optimize XY for Win7. - other impact??? I'm sorry: I was j...
