Actually I hadn't. I'd simply cleared out the cache directory. I have tried it and it still doesn't work. Would sending you a copy of my config file help?

the PNG's seem to be OK however out of 2.5k files only a handful are PNG's. I have tried another size of thumbnail and that still fails. Any other suggestions?

Both settings are 0. I am using 320x320 for the thumbnail size - could that have anything to do with it?

Fresh instance works fine. So the problem is somewhere in the config. Any further advice on how to resolve please?

Hi there, I am running XY15.10 and am having a problem with thumbnails not being created for all files. The files are jpgs which when opened render correctly. I can confirm the issue under Windows 8.1 using the same option on three monitors. I'd never noticed it before but can confirm that on my system XY seems to be the only app where the icon doesn't move. FWIW.

I see icon overlays for both Dropbox and TortoiseSVN in XY running on Win 8.1 x64. Hope that helps.

OK I see, if the changelog had read "Leave it empty to always search the current location and subdirectories" I would have got it! I understand now...

So to illustrate using the category above and the following item:
